Technology Profile

BioTec Technology is the science of using microbes and enzymes to digest and remove the food source used by algae to grow and survive. These microbes and enzymes produce complex chemical reactions that metabolize ammonia, nitrogen and phosphorous into carbon dioxide and water. 

By digesting and removing these essential elements, the algae is unable to grow and survive. The result is the removal of algae from vertical and horizontal surfaces.
