Product Range
The
initial product development launched by Radal Technology Limited was a
battery/mains operated version of the Cig-Arrete system. This product
has provided the main sales revenue of the company over the last three
years and facilitates the policing of areas such as small offices and
toilet blocks, with the ability to monitor these sensitive areas from a
remote location. This eliminates the need for staff to periodically
check areas where illicit smoking occurs in direct opposition to smoking
bans driven by passive smoking legislation or insurance company edicts.
In order to comply with client base requests and provide
additional product flexibility, the company undertook the development of
voice enhanced sounders and associated power supplies specific to the
Cig-Arrete range of products. In addition, the company became involved
in the provision of an aspirating Cig-Arrete product aimed at transport
systems such as buses and trains, where smoking is banned on public
transport under the trade name 'Samplair'.
Due to a high number of
requests for a product which could facilitate a wider coverage area (in
terms of numbers of restrooms covered across large sites) than that
provided by the standard five
zone Cig-Arrete system, Radal Technology are in the latter stages of
developing a wire free version of the standard product. This new product
will allow connection of up to 64 addressable devices, complete with
text tags and zonal program options.
As a result of the company being awarded
a Smart technology award in early 2003 by the UK governments DTI (Dept
of Trade and Industry), the company has recently launched a brand new
addition to our product range. The culmination of the company's research
and development program is a new concept in stand alone detection
products. Encompassing all the technical knowledge and field expertise
gained over the past five years the new battery/mains sensor sounder
modules (CSA-GDV & CSA-GDT) provide our clients with the only cost
effective method of policing a no smoking policy.
